The 2024-2025 Spanish League draw resulted in a difficult match for Barcelona at the beginning of the new season, and within reach for Real Madrid, the defending champion.
Barcelona will head to the Mestalla Stadium, where it will meet Valencia in the first round of La Liga on August 18.
As for Real Madrid, they will travel to the Iberostar Stadium to face Real Mallorca, in a confrontation that will not be easy given the suffering of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad in the past season there and winning by a goal without a response.
Barcelona’s first match at its Luis Companis Olympic Stadium will also be difficult, as it will face Athletic Bilbao, while Real Madrid will play against Real Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the second round of La Liga.
The Madrid derby will be held between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in the first leg in the eighth round at the Wanda Stadium on September 29, while Barcelona will play the 18th round against Diego Simeone’s squad at its stadium on December 22.
