Egyptian media has identified a famous player who fell into the doping trap and may be subject to a long suspension from playing football.
The famous journalist, Ahmed Shoubir, came out and said that a player had recently been subjected to a doping test. He did not mention his name, but merely pointed out that he was an international player who had not played much for the Egyptian national team recently.
According to reports from Egyptian newspapers, this player is Ramadan Sobhi, the former Al-Ahly and current Pyramids player.
The players undergo a periodic doping test every two months, and the Egyptian Doping Committee informed the Pyramids Club of the presence of a corrupt sample from Ramadan Sobhi 8 months ago and his need to undergo a new test.
So far, there has been no official response from either Ramadan Sobhi or his club to these reports.
This is not the first time that a Pyramids player has fallen into the trap of doping, as the same thing previously happened to the duo Sherif Ekramy and Ibrahim Hassan.
It is noteworthy that the Italian League’s doping committee suspended Paul Pogba for 4 years due to doping, and the suspension period in cases such as those of Ramadan usually ranges from 6 months to 4 years.
