The newspaper “Bild” reported that the English Football Association has entered into advanced negotiations with one of the most important football coaches in the last decade, to take over the training of the Three Lions in the coming period.
Lee Carsley is taking over the task of training England temporarily after Gareth Southgate resigned after Euro 2024.
According to the British media, England’s initial plan was for Carsley to continue in his position until the end of the current season and then try to sign Pep Guardiola at the end of his contract with Manchester City.
However, as “Bild” revealed, there are negotiations between England and another great coach, Thomas Tuchel, to take over the training of the English.
Tuchel has extensive experience in the world of training, and he previously worked in the Premier League with Chelsea and was able to lead the “Blues” to achieve the 2021 Champions League.
Since Tuchel was dismissed from training Bayern Munich at the end of last season, he has not taken over any club or national team, even though his name has been frequently linked to Manchester United recently.
The German newspaper indicates that Tuchel welcomes the idea of coaching England, but an agreement between the two parties has not yet happened, although it seems imminent.
