A group of curses knocks Bayern Munich out of the German Cup early

A group of curses appeared at the Allianz Arena, which led to Bayern Munich’s early exit from the German Cup in the round of 16.

The Bavarian giants met the defending champion Bayer Leverkusen, in a match that ended with the pharmaceutical factory team winning with a clean goal scored by Tella.

The match witnessed a rare event after Manuel Neuer received a red card in the middle of the first half, which resulted in Bayern completing the match with ten players.

In the second half, Tella scored the winning goal after a wonderful cross that he met with his foot from inside the penalty area and put it in the home team’s net.

With Bayern’s early farewell to the cup, the “curse of the German Cup” for the Bavarians, which has been going on for the last 5 years, is once again evident.

Bayern won the title in the 2019-2020 season at the expense of Bayer Leverkusen, but after that they never made it past the quarter-finals.

In 2021, Bayern were eliminated in the second round, in 2022 in the quarter-finals, last year in the first round, and now in the round of 16, in an event that has happened for the first time since 2006.

There is another curse looming on the horizon, which is Harry Kane’s curse of not achieving championships, since his arrival, the Bavarians have lost all the championships in which they participated.

As for the last curse, it is Xabi Alonso’s superiority over Bayern since his arrival to coach Leverkusen two years ago.

Bayern have met Leverkusen 5 times since then in all competitions, and the southern giant has never succeeded in defeating Alonso, as the coach won 3 times and the draw prevailed twice, the last of which was in the first round of the Bundesliga.
