The summer of 2024 may witness a high-caliber exchange deal between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, according to what was revealed by the French newspaper L’Equipe.
Real Madrid still has a great desire to obtain the signature of Alphonso Davies, who also strongly desires to leave Bayern Munich after not reaching an agreement to renew his contract, which expires in the summer of 2025.
Meanwhile, the German club has become interested in signing the Royal Club’s left-back, Ferland Mendy, in order to replace the Canadian full-back who is expected to leave next summer.
Mendy’s contract extends until the summer of 2025, and Carlo Ancelotti wants to keep him, but if Davies is included, his departure will become certain, especially since the club has not made him a renewal offer yet.
Thus, L’Equipe says that instead of Real Madrid paying an amount of up to 50 or 60 million euros, an understanding may occur between the Royal and Bavarian club on a swap deal whereby Davies will move to the Santiago Bernabeu, and Mendy will move to the Allianz Arena.
Mendy remains the focus of attention of many major clubs, especially after his amazing performance this season, and he is at the top of the list of those interested in him, Arsenal and Liverpool.
