Six players shared the Euro 2024 top scorer award, after they all scored 3 goals in the competition, which was held in Germany and won by the Spanish national team.
UEFA had announced a change in the rule for calculating the Euro scorer in the event that more than one player was equal in the number of goals scored, after it was awarded to the player who scored the most goals at the time.
Thanks to the previous rule, Cristiano Ronaldo surpassed Patrik Schick in Euro 2020, when each of them scored 5 goals, but “The Don” created a goal that gave him the advantage.
But UEFA announced before the final match that this matter had become a thing of the past and only scored goals would be counted, leaving 6 players equal with 3 goals and all of them achieving the Euro 2024 top scorer award.
These players are: Harry Kane (England), Dani Olmo (Spain), Jamal Musiala (Germany), Cody Gakpo (Netherlands), Ivan Skrans (Slovakia) and George Mikautadze (Georgia).
In terms of making goals, Lamine Yamal is the player with the most assists in the Euro, with 4 assists, the last of which was in the final match against England.
