A New Crisis: Zamalek Suspends Star Player and Deducts a Quarter of His Salary!

A new crisis has erupted at Zamalek, this time with Nasser Maher, after the club’s management decided to suspend him and impose a hefty fine.

The player was supposed to sit on the bench for Zamalek’s match against Haras El-Hodoud, which the White Knights won 2-0.

However, the player refused to accept coach José Peseiro’s decision, refusing to sit on the bench and was excluded from Zamalek’s squad for the match.

Zamalek issued an official statement announcing the decision of football director Abdel Wahed El-Sayed to suspend the player indefinitely and refer him to legal affairs for investigation.

At the same time, Abdel Wahed recommended a 25% deduction of the player’s financial dues to maintain discipline and commitment within the team.

The Nasser Maher crisis is the latest in a series of recurring crises at Zamalek recently, the most recent of which was Ahmed Sayed Zizo’s absence from training after signing for Al Ahly.
