The “Relevo” network revealed a dispute between Osasuna and Barcelona over the new date for their postponed match from the twenty-seventh round.
The match was supposed to be played at the Olympic Stadium Luis Companys last Saturday, but the sudden death of Barcelona’s doctor caused it to be postponed.
Osasuna had previously announced that it welcomed any new date agreed upon with Barcelona to hold the match, but this did not last, and a dispute has already arisen between the two parties.
According to the report, Osasuna proposed holding the match on Thursday, March 27, but Barcelona refuses because it would mean the absence of the international players from South America (Ronald Araujo and Raphinha).
At the same time, Osasuna objects to the other proposed date, May 21, due to the unfairness of the competition with the possibility of competing in the relegation battle or the European seats battle.
La Liga and the clubs support Osasuna’s objection, as Osasuna and Barcelona will have two games left after Round 37 and the rest of the clubs will have one game left, which many see as unfair.
Ultimately, the two dates will be presented to the competition judge, who is the only one who can decide which of the two proposed dates to go with.
