Enppi almost inflicted the first defeat on Al-Ahly this season in the Egyptian League, after winning a penalty kick in the last minutes of the match that was held at the Arab Contractors Stadium.
Ahmed Khalil Kalusha was the one who took the kick in the 88th minute, but strangely he shot the ball into the sky of the Arab Contractors Stadium, and the match ended in a goalless draw.
After the match, Enppi coach, Mohamed Ismail, announced that the club decided to pay an exceptional bonus to Kalusha.
The coach justified this by saying that the player had a more than wonderful match and was one of its stars for Enppi, stressing that the missed penalty kick is not the criterion for his evaluation at all.
It is worth noting that with the draw, Enppi reached the sixth point and is in the fourteenth place, while Al-Ahly reached the 12th point and dropped to the third place behind Zamalek and Pyramids (14 points each).
Al-Ahly has a postponed match due to its participation in the Intercontinental Cup, and it is scheduled to take place on January 7 against Smouha.
