“Sport” newspaper reported that Barcelona’s management sent, through the famous players’ agent Georgi Mendes, a strongly worded message to Paris Saint-Germain about the French club’s interest in including Lamine Yamal.
French media have indicated that PSG is ready to pump 200 million euros to sign Yamal next summer to serve as an alternative to Kylian Mbappé, who is heading to Real Madrid.
But according to “Sport”, Barcelona does not intend to part with Yamal except in one case, which is to pay the release clause in his contract, amounting to one billion euros, which is practically impossible for any club in the world.
Through Mendes, who headed to the French capital in the past few hours, the Catalan club conveyed to its French counterpart a clear message, which is that “Lamine Yamal is not for sale under any circumstances.”
Thus, Barcelona wants to end any controversy that might arise about the future of the 16-year-old, who is certain to continue at Camp Nou until the end of his current contract in the summer of 2026.
It is assumed that renewal negotiations will begin between the Barca administration and Yamal during the coming period, in the hope that he will continue for as long as possible, with him receiving a large salary increase after his brilliance this season.
