A sudden injury to a Zamalek star and his absence from the Al-Ahly match is confirmed

Press reports revealed that a star from the Zamalek stars suffered a sudden injury that will prevent him from playing in the Al-Ahly match in the African Super Cup.

The White Knight is preparing to face his eternal rival at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium today, Friday, and in the morning, coach Jose Gomez was shocked by an injury that was not expected.

According to reports, goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi was injured in the hamstring muscle and will not be able to participate in the Al-Ahly match.

Accordingly, the substitute goalkeeper Mohamed Awad is the one who will protect the goal of the White Castle in the derby scheduled to start at 9 pm Mecca and Cairo time.

Awad’s participation may worry Zamalek fans and coach Gomez, considering that the 32-year-old has not played any official match since last June.

Awad was out of Gomez’s calculations last season due to his declining level and then the crisis of renewing his contract, before a breakthrough occurred in August, and he signed new contracts with Zamalek, but he did not participate and coach Mohamed Sobhi preferred him for the last 3 months.

The young goalkeeper Mahmoud El-Shenawy, who played most of Zamalek’s matches last August, will be the substitute goalkeeper in the upcoming summit.
