Lionel Messi sent a very touching message to bid farewell to his former Barcelona teammate Andres Iniesta.
The 40-year-old had announced his retirement from football after a career full of achievements inside and outside Barcelona.
Messi wrote in his farewell to Iniesta via his official Instagram account, attaching a picture of them together, “One of the most magical teammates and one of the ones I enjoyed playing with a lot.”
He continued, “Iniesta, football will miss you and we all will too. I wish you the best always, you are a phenomenon.”
Messi played alongside Iniesta at Barcelona since he was promoted to the first team in 2006 until the Spanish star left for Vissel Kobe in 2018.
