La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Real Madrid has identified a player who seems a bit strange to succeed Toni Kroos in the middle of the Royal Club’s midfield.
This player is Juventus star Adrien Rabiot, who Real Madrid could acquire for free after the end of his contract with the Italian club this summer.
The Royal Club management believes that contracting with Rabiot appears as a good option to replace Kroos, given that he will not cost the club’s coffers much, and will not face a crisis in adapting to the presence of 4 other French players.
As for the 29-year-old, he would certainly welcome the move to Real Madrid, and believes that it will be an exceptional opportunity for him to turn his career upside down.
In general, Rabiot is not considered one of the elite midfield players in the world, and there is a lot of criticism of his performance even if he recovered a large part of his health in the past season, which makes him a strange choice to replace a legend the size of Toni Kroos.
It remains to be noted that Juventus offered Rabiot to renew his contract for two years, with him receiving a salary of 7.5 million euros annually.
