Lamine Yamal scored a world-class goal that led Barcelona to an important victory over its guest Mallorca 1-0 in the opening of the 28th round of the Spanish League.
This goal was Yamal’s fourth contribution in the last 4 La Liga matches (three goals and an assist), and it is one more than his contributions in the first 24 matches he played in the competition with Barca.
The 16-year-old scored his sixth goal in total this season with Barcelona in all competitions, in addition to assisting 7 other goals.
Thanks to this goal, Barcelona temporarily rose to second place in the La Liga standings with 61 points, 5 points behind Real Madrid, until the Royal team plays its match against Celta Vigo on Sunday.
After the match, Lamine spoke about the goal and explained it by saying, “I am very happy. In fact, I found an opportunity to shoot, so I decided to shoot, and it happened.”
Now Yamal will look to repeat his brilliance, but at the Champions League level, when Barcelona take on Napoli on Wednesday in the second leg of the round of 16 at the Luis Companis Olympic Stadium.
We will leave you with Yamal’s global goal…
