Paul Pogba is close to returning to the world of football, as American press reports indicate intense negotiations between him and DC United to secure his signature.
Pogba was suspended for a long period due to a positive doping test. The ban was reduced to end last March, after which Juventus decided to terminate his contract by mutual consent.
The French international has been linked to several clubs inside and outside Europe, but he is currently in Miami, preparing himself for his anticipated return to the world of football.
The Washington Post confirmed that Pogba is in contact with DC United and has a significant offer funded by Adidas, but he has not yet made a decision on whether to accept or reject it.
The 32-year-old prefers to wait and see about his next destination. He still desires to return to Europe, but the offers he has received from the Old Continent have not met his expectations.
Pogba is tempted by the prospect of continuing in America, especially since his family has lived there for some time and he feels comfortable there as well. The MLS has also become a magnet for stars thanks to Lionel Messi’s move to Inter Miami in the summer of 2023.
