After a very long absence.. Zamalek star is ready to return to matches

Egyptian media confirmed that Zamalek’s second captain and one of its most important stars, Mahmoud Hamdi El-Wensh, is ready to return and participate in matches again.

El-Wensh suffered a severe injury two years ago with a cruciate ligament rupture, and after recovering from it last year, he was injured again with the same injury.

According to the latest news, El-Wensh traveled to Germany in the past few days to undergo a medical examination after completing his recovery, hoping to return to participate again.

Indeed, the Egyptian defender obtained medical permission to participate in training completely, which means that he can participate in matches with Jose Gomez’s squad within a short period.

El-Wensh’s return is of great importance to Zamalek, as the White Knight does not have a numerical density in the center-back position with only Hossam Abdel-Majeed, Hamza Al-Mathlouthi and Mustafa Al-Zanari.

Before the injury, El-Wensh was one of the most important center-backs in Egypt, and participated with Shawky Gharib’s national team in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and was one of the most prominent players of the Pharaohs at the time.
