The Relevo network reported that Real Madrid faces the risk of losing Jude Bellingham for a long period at the beginning of next season due to his shoulder injury.
According to the report, the English international is still suffering from shoulder pain, and this became clear more than once during his participation with his country in Euro 2024.
Bellingham’s shoulder injury has been going on since 2023, when he had to be absent for a period in order to recover, but the club at that time chose not to have his player undergo surgery, and then he returned and participated normally, although in more than one shot it became clear that he had not recovered 100%.
In light of the continuing pain and its presence in the Euro as well, Real Madrid’s medical staff will conduct new examinations on Bellingham’s shoulder, and now the option of resorting to surgery is on the table.
If the 21-year-old undergoes surgery, he will be away from the field for at least two months, and will be absent approximately until mid-October.
Bellingham is with England in the Euro and will play in the final match against Spain, provided that he returns to Real Madrid after 3 weeks of rest, and then his fate will be decided.
It is noteworthy that Bellingham’s absence, if it happens, will be the second long absence before the start of the season, after David Alaba was confirmed to be absent until January 2025 due to the aggravation of his cruciate ligament injury.
