Marca newspaper confirmed that Alphonso Davies is very close to moving to Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.
Bayern Munich made an offer to Davies in the past few days to renew his contract that expires at the end of this season, and according to German media, the Canadian international rejected it.
Marca newspaper reported that there is great confidence within Real Madrid’s walls currently that Davies will end up at the Santiago Bernabeu next season.
Indeed, Real Madrid officials have an agreement with Davies’ agent on personal terms, but the player has not yet been given the green light and was waiting for the final offer from Bayern.
It seems that Davies is more convinced of Real Madrid’s project, and the money he will get with the royal club exceeds the Bavarian offer, although it was also huge.
If things go as they are without surprises, Davies, 23, will be Real Madrid’s second summer reinforcement after Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The English star may precede Davies in Real Madrid and move to it in the winter, as “Marca” confirms that the Spanish club has not despaired and is waiting for the right moment to submit a new offer to Liverpool regarding Arnold in the coming few weeks.
