After being sacked by United.. Ten Hag rejects an offer from a giant European club

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that a giant Italian club tried to sign Erik Ten Hag in the past few days, but the Dutch coach rejected the offer made to him.

Ten Hag was sacked two weeks ago from coaching United due to poor performance and results, and despite his poor experience in the last year and a half in particular, the view of him as one of the best coaches in the world remains.

Ten Hag had led United to win the Carabao and FA Cups, in addition to finishing second in the Premier League the season before last.

According to the Italian report, the Roma management contacted Ten Hag and offered him to succeed Ivan Juric in leading the Wolves.

But the Dutch coach immediately rejected the idea, as he prefers to rest now on the one hand, and on the other hand does not want to coach a team with great public pressure like Roma after his difficult experience at Manchester United.

Roma are still looking for their third coach of the season after sacking Daniele De Rossi in September and appointing Juric, who did not last more than a month and a half and was fired.

The capital club is ranked 12th in the Italian league after achieving only 13 points from the first 12 matches.

The closest candidate to coach the Giallorossi is currently the former Saudi national team coach Roberto Mancini after other negotiations with the English coach Frank Lampard failed.
