Erling Haaland raised concerns for Manchester City after the injury he suffered during his team’s 4-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday in the English Premier League.
The Norwegian international left the match in the 88th minute due to a knee injury that raised everyone’s concerns, especially with the approach of the Real Madrid match in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 play-off.
But in the end, Haaland reassured everyone and posted a picture of himself on his Instagram account confirming that he did not suffer from any significant injury.
Pep Guardiola said about Haaland’s injury, “When he fell to the ground, everyone was in a state of panic, but he came back and smiled and walked without a crisis.”
He continued, “I did not speak to him, but the doctors assured me that everything is fine.”
Thus, the 23-year-old player will participate normally against Real Madrid on Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu.
It is noteworthy that Haaland scored a brace for City in the 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid last Tuesday at the Etihad Stadium.
