Senegalese press reports indicated that Aliou Cisse is in intensive negotiations with one of the Arab teams to lead it in the coming period.
Cissé spent 9 years at the helm of the Senegalese national team, during which he succeeded in leading the “Lions of Teranga” to their first title in history, when they won the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Last week, the Senegalese Federation announced the end of Cisse’s journey and the non-renewal of his contract due to his failure to achieve the goals set for him in the recent period.
According to the latest news, the Mauritanian Football Federation has entered into negotiations with Cisse to convince him to take up the position of coach, in light of the desire of the “Almoravids” administration to dismiss the current coach, Amir Abdou.
Abdou had renewed his contract with Mauritania last January after his team’s historic performance in the Africa Cup of Nations, but the arrows of criticism have not stopped chasing him for poor performance and results since then.
Until now, Cisse has not decided on his position regarding training Mauritania, although it is certain that there are other offers for him from within the African continent as well.
