After Nacho and Joselu…a third star is close to leaving Real Madrid!

The Relevo network revealed that Andrey Lunin is closer to leaving Real Madrid than renewing his contract and continuing with the Royal Club until 2029.

The Ukrainian goalkeeper is currently looking for an offer that guarantees him regular participation instead of remaining on the bench at Real Madrid for Thibaut Courtois.

According to “Relevo”, there are some rumors circulating strongly in recent days about the collapse of Lunin’s relationship with Courtois, which enhances the possibility of him leaving the Santiago Bernabéu.

Due to the current situation, Real Madrid’s management began moving to secure the presence of a replacement goalkeeper for Courtois, and settled on trying to renew Kepa’s loan from Chelsea for another year.

The Spanish goalkeeper joined Real Madrid last season after Courtois’ injury, but he was unable to last long as the first goalkeeper due to Lunin’s great brilliance, which made him the first choice for coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Now, with Lunin’s expected departure, Real Madrid’s management believes that Kepa will be the ideal choice to fill the position of substitute goalkeeper, especially since he will not cost the club’s coffers a lot of money, given that he is well aware of the way things are going within the Merengue.

As for Lunin’s next destination, it remains unknown, although some reports suggest that he will move to Atletico Madrid, which is most interested in him to succeed Jan Oblak, and amid interest from Arsenal after it was reported that communication occurred between the goalkeeper and coach Mikel Arteta in the past days.

If he leaves, Lunin will be the third Real Madrid player to refuse to renew his contract and leave, after captain Nacho Fernandez, who joined Al-Qadisiyah of Saudi Arabia, and Joselu, who joined Al-Gharafa of Qatar.
