Sky Sports revealed that Bayern Munich star Mathys Tel decided to join Manchester United this winter.
The French international decided to leave the Bavarian club due to his lack of participation, and has since been linked to a number of clubs, and rejected an official offer from Tottenham.
The player was close to staying with Bayern, but on Sunday he made a new decision to move to Manchester United.
It is most likely that the 20-year-old realized that his chances of participating at Old Trafford would be great after Marcus Rashford’s departure to Aston Villa on loan.
The only crisis currently remains Bayern Munich, as the Bavarian club rejected the first offer from Manchester United, which included obtaining Tel on loan until the end of the season.
Bayern wants to sell Tel permanently or on loan with the right to buy next summer for a large sum, which is the focus of the negotiations currently between the two parties, but the negotiations, according to Sky, are very complicated.
Arsenal also appear to be a potential option for Till, although the player’s current desire is to join United specifically.
If the deal goes through, it will be the third winter signing after Aidan Haven from Arsenal’s youth team and left-back Patrick Djurgu from Lecce.
Till’s deal comes on the heels of the Red Devils’ defeat to Crystal Palace, with Mateta scoring twice, which saw them drop to 13th in the Premier League.
