The Brazilian network UOL has reported that Real Madrid has received a huge offer from the Saudi league to sign Eder Militao this summer.
The Brazilian international returned a few months ago from a cruciate ligament injury and quickly managed to regain his form. There are high hopes for him to shoulder the responsibility of Real Madrid’s defense in the new season.
According to the report, one of the Saudi clubs offered Real Madrid €90 million to buy Militao’s contract.
The identity of this club has not been revealed, but the Brazilian network confirms that Real Madrid’s decision was an outright rejection to part with the 26-year-old.
Militao’s contract with Real Madrid still runs until the summer of 2028, with the royal club securing it with a release clause of €500 million.
As for the player, his confirmed desire is to stay with Real, just like his teammate Antonio Rudiger, who also received a huge Saudi offer and rejected it at the beginning of the summer.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Ahli Saudi tried to sign Vinicius Junior in the past few days and was willing to pay more than €200 million to sign him, but both the player and the club rejected the offer categorically.
