Marca newspaper reported that Saudi League officials have put another star from Real Madrid on the list of highly requested summer transfers in 2025.
Vinicius Junior had received a legendary offer with the Saudi League next summer, but he preferred to postpone making the final decision on it for at least a year.
It seems that Roshen League officials do not stop their aspirations with Vinicius, but have now reached one of the most important pillars of Real, and we are talking here about goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgian international’s contract at the Santiago Bernabeu expires in the summer of 2026, and Real Madrid’s initial plan is to negotiate with him to renew his contract after that for at least another year.
According to Marca, the Saudi League is ready to buy the remainder of Courtois’ current contract at a large value, which is something that Real Madrid’s management takes into consideration and makes it open to the idea of selling.
It is true that the basic plan is to keep Courtois, but if his departure will bring in huge amounts of money, and given that he is approaching his 33rd year, the management will most likely not stand in the way of a sale.
The Real Madrid management prefers to rely on young players to form the future of the team, and if Courtois leaves, there will be no need to look for a successor to him with the presence of Andriy Lunin, who has proven himself on more than one occasion.
The identity of the Saudi club that will acquire Courtois remains unknown, as does the goalkeeper’s position on moving to the Roshen League if he decides to leave Real Madrid.
