Al-Nassr Club CEO Guido Finga stressed that Cristiano Ronaldo will remain with “Fares Najd” next season, and coach Luis Castro will not leave his position.
Al-Nassr came out with a zero season after losing the King’s Cup final to Al-Hilal on penalties, and finished second in the Saudi League standings and exited the AFC Champions League in the quarter-finals.
Recently, rumors have spread that Ronaldo wants to return to Europe and that he has received offers from several clubs, most notably Bayer Leverkusen.
After the loss to Al Hilal, Finja was asked in an interview with the Saudi media about Ronaldo’s future, and he answered categorically, “He will continue with us. His blood has turned yellow, and I can confirm that Luis Castro is staying with us as well.”
He also added, “We lost the match on penalties, and we were more deserving of winning it. We are now working to improve the team’s situation in the next season with the arrival of the new sporting director, Hierro.”
It is worth noting that Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr is still extended for another year, and it is said that the two parties are in negotiations to renew the contract until the summer of 2026 at the very least.
