For the fourth time this year, Mohamed Salah opened the door to leaving Liverpool, by confirming that there are no new developments regarding renewing his contract with the Reds so far.
The Egyptian international spoke to the media after scoring two goals and making two assists in the Tottenham match, which witnessed him achieving many individual achievements.
Regarding becoming the first player in the history of the Premier League to score 10 goals or more and make the same number before Christmas, he replied, “I didn’t think about it before the match, but I’m happy that I did it.”
As for becoming Liverpool’s fourth all-time top scorer in the English Premier League, “It’s great to achieve that at such a big club, but the most important thing is that we won the match.”
Regarding his future, he raised controversy by saying, “Wherever I end my career, I’m happy about it (Liverpool’s fourth all-time top scorer). There are no new developments regarding the renewal yet.”
It is noteworthy that Salah is the player with the most goalscoring contributions in the five major leagues, as he scored 18 goals and made 14 others in 25 matches in all tournaments.
