Al-Ahly approached the quarter-finals of the 2025 African Champions League after defeating Stade d’Abidjan 3-1 in the fifth round of the group stage.
The match, which was played at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium, saw the home team take the lead in the first half through Saint Curry.
But Emam Ashour was the first hero of the match, as he managed to score the equalizer in the 53rd minute, then the second goal for Al-Ahly with a wonderful header in the 73rd minute, and concluded the hat-trick in the last minute.

The Egyptian player continued his brilliance after scoring a goal last week against Smouha in the Egyptian League, but this time without a controversial celebration.
Thanks to this victory, Al-Ahly reached ten points to top the group.
Al-Ahly needs Orlando Pirates to defeat Shabab Belouizdad on Sunday, and with it, it will officially secure qualification before the final match against the South African club.
If Belouizdad wins in South Africa, Al-Ahly will have to win in the final round against Orlando or draw in Cairo to secure qualification to the quarter-finals.
