Al Ain players did not miss the opportunity to mock Cristiano Ronaldo after beating Al Nassr to the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League.
After the end of the first leg, with Al Ain winning 1-0, Ronaldo vowed that Al Nasr would stage a “remontada” in the second leg, but El Don gave a very mediocre performance and wasted chances in a strange way.
Al-Ain won on penalties after Al-Nasr won in regular and extra time 4-3 and tied on aggregate 4-4, setting the Emirati club to a match with the winner of the match between Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad in the semi-finals.
While goalkeeper Khaled Issa was giving a press interview after the match, Al Ain players appeared and took advantage of the event to mock Ronaldo.
The players chanted the phrase, “Where is the remontada?”, referring to the words Ronaldo said more than once and threatened Al-Ain before the match.
Khaled Issa himself commented on this matter by saying, “Whoever wants to speak is free. Today, Al Ain players have proven that they are taking action.”
