Al Hilal CEO: Ronaldo’s participation in the 2025 Club World Cup is “science fiction”

Al Hilal CEO Steve Calzada distanced his club from the rumors circulating about the possibility of “the leader” contracting with Cristiano Ronaldo after the end of his contract with Al Nassr.

The international media had confirmed that Ronaldo has a chance to participate in the 2025 Club World Cup, and that Al Hilal is one of the clubs that will try to sign him for free next summer.

When Calzada was asked about his club’s connection to contracting with Ronaldo to share the stage with Lionel Messi in the 2025 Club World Cup, he replied, “This is science fiction.”

He also added, “Cristiano Ronaldo is not our player, so it is difficult to comment on the matter.”

He concluded, “He is not a free player now, so it is not nice to talk about this matter.”

It is noteworthy that journalist Felix Diaz, who is close to Ronaldo, confirmed that the Portuguese has a chance to participate in the World Cup, but it is “very difficult.”

Ronaldo has recently been linked to several clubs, most notably Al-Ahly of Egypt, before the Red Castle officials came out and denied the matter due to the Don’s very large salary.
