Al Hilal’s management has identified Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi as their primary target to succeed Jorge Jesus as coach of the Blue Wave next season.
Jesus’ departure from Al Hilal is only a matter of time after his poor results this season, and the club is currently aiming to appoint a new coach before the 2025 Club World Cup.
According to Marca, Al Hilal has made an offer of €20 million per year to Inzaghi to coach the team immediately after the end of the Italian football season.
In principle, there is an understanding and convergence of views between Inzaghi and Al Hilal, but the Italian coach has not yet made a decision on whether to accept or reject the offer.
If Inzaghi agrees, he will coach Al Hilal in the 2025 Club World Cup and will be among the top five highest-paid coaches in the world.
Inzaghi’s contract with Inter runs until the summer of 2026, and he is still competing for a treble this season, having led the Italian league and reached the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia and the Champions League.
The former Lazio coach achieved exceptional achievements with Inter, winning the Italian league once, the Coppa Italia twice, and the Italian Super Cup three times, while losing the 2023 Champions League final to Manchester City.
