Once again, Nasser Al-Khelaifi denied that his club Paris Saint-Germain intends to sign Mohamed Salah, indicating that the Liverpool star was never on the table of the French capital team.
Al-Khelaifi had denied in the past days what was said about long negotiations between PSG and Salah that may end with the Egyptian arriving at the Parc des Princes stadium for free next summer.
Al-Khelaifi was asked for the second time about Salah during his participation in the 2025 Club World Cup draw, where he expressed how proud he was of him on the one hand, and denied again any negotiations with him on the other hand.
Al-Khelaifi said, “We love Mohamed Salah very much, but he has a contract with Liverpool, so we have never spoken to him.”
He also added, “He is from our region (the Middle East), so I am very proud of what he has achieved in the English Premier League, but we also respect Liverpool a lot.”
Liverpool are said to be preparing a new contract offer for Salah, with the 32-year-old said to be open to signing a one-year deal.
