Al-Nassr bids farewell to the King’s Cup early, and Ronaldo misses a decisive penalty

Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty kick in the dying moments against Al-Taawoun, which was the reason for Al-Nassr’s farewell to the King’s Cup in the round of 16.

Waleed Al-Ahmad scored for Al-Taawoun in a surprising manner and against the run of play in the 75th minute, and Al-Nassr began working to equalize.

After a series of missed opportunities, Al-Nassr won a penalty kick in the 95th minute, and as usual, Cristiano Ronaldo was the one to execute it.

But the 39-year-old failed to convert the kick into Al-Taawoun’s net, and shot it completely outside the goal, after which his team bid farewell to the King’s Cup early and from the heart of the first park stadium.

The King’s Cup competition is one of the most difficult competitions for Al-Nassr historically, as the yellow club has not won the title since 1990.

Al-Nassr had lost the King’s Cup last season in the final match against its eternal rival Al-Hilal on penalties.

By bidding farewell to the King’s Cup, Ronaldo continues his failure with Al-Nasr to achieve titles. Over the course of two years, he has not been able to lead “Al-Alamy” to any official platform until now.
