Al-Nassr settles on its new coach after Castro’s dismissal

Journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Al-Nassr management has opened negotiations with Stefano Pioli to succeed Luis Castro.

“Knight of Najd” is already facing a significant decline in results in the recent period, the latest of which was a draw with Iraqi Al-Shorta in the first round of the AFC Champions League for the elite.

On Tuesday, Al-Nassr announced the official dismissal of Castro due to the decline in results.

Indeed, Al-Nassr management is negotiating with Pioli, and in principle, the Italian coach welcomes his successor to the Portuguese in training Al-Alamy.

Pioli was very close to training Al-Ittihad before the start of this season, but the resignation of the club president at the time caused the negotiations to collapse, and then “Al-Ameed” contracted with Frenchman Laurent Blanc.

It is worth noting that Al-Nassr won one match in the Saudi League this season and drew in two, in addition to losing the Saudi Super Cup title by losing the final match 4-1 to Al-Hilal.
