Al-Riyadiyah newspaper has confirmed that Al-Nassr will enter their Saudi Super Cup semi-final match against Al-Taawoun without their star player, Sami Al-Najei.
The Saudi player suffered an injury during a recent friendly match against Granada, forcing him to leave the field after just 5 minutes of play.
According to the report, Al-Najei is suffering from a fairly serious knee injury that will keep him out of action for up to 10 days.
Therefore, it is confirmed that Al-Najei will not be with Luis Castro’s squad for the match against Al-Taawoun. Even if Al-Nassr wins, it is unlikely that he will be available for the Super Cup final.
It should be noted that the winner of the Al-Nassr and Al-Taawoun match will face the winner of the highly anticipated Clasico between Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli in the final.
