Okaz newspaper has confirmed that Al Nassr officials will not allow Aymeric Laporte to leave for any club during the current summer transfer window, regardless of the financial offer made.
In recent weeks, the Spanish defender has been linked with a return to Europe via Atlético Madrid, before emerging as a potential option for Real Madrid after the failure to sign Lenny Yoro.
According to the latest report, Al Nassr has decided to keep all of its foreign players, which means that Laporte will stay, as will Sadio Mané despite rumors of an attempt to offload the Senegalese international.
The only professional player who could leave Al Nassr is Alex Telles, and that depends on the ability of the World management to find a local replacement at left-back.
Al Nassr’s current plan is to sign another strong center-back alongside Laporte, and indeed Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk was a candidate for the role, and it was even said that he had accepted the Saudi offer.
It is worth noting that Marca newspaper had previously indicated that Real Madrid would not try to sign another center-back and would rely on Aurélien Tchouaméni as an alternative in this position until David Alaba returns from injury.
