Nidal Housé, Alphonso Davies’s agent, announced that his client will not make his decision about renewing his contract with Bayern Munich at the current moment, contrary to the will of the Bavarian club.
Bayern presented a new offer to Davies last week to renew his contract, which expires in the summer of 2025, giving him until the end of this week to make his final decision.
In an interview with the media, Nidal responded to what Bayern Munich did by saying, “It is not fair what they did. We will decide Davis’ fate at the end of the season when things are clearer.”
He also added, “It is not fair how Alfonso is being attacked now. We agreed with the club on everything a year ago, then the management changed, and we tried to agree again, but no one responded.”
He continued, “Now we have to make a decision within two weeks because the club is stressed and has faced problems for several months in order to prepare the administrative staff?”
He concluded, “How can we make a decision about his future when we do not know who will be Bayern’s coach next season or what the team will be like? Therefore, we believe that it is unfair to give us this deadline.”
According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid continues to monitor the situation of Davies, who appears to be challenging Bayern Munich’s management with his decision to wait until the end of the season.
Most likely, Max Eberl, Bayern’s new sporting director, will stick to his word that the current deadline is the last for Davies, and thus it appears that the player will leave Bayern next summer.
Bayern initially sets 60 million euros as a value for agreeing to sell Davies instead of leaving him for free in the summer of 2025, but Real Madrid only wants to pay 40 million euros.
