Amorim confirms Manchester United star will miss Liverpool clash

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has announced Marcus Rashford will miss Sunday’s match against Liverpool.

Rashford was ruled out of four consecutive matches before returning to the Red Devils’ squad and remaining on the bench for the last Newcastle match.

Rashford was expected to continue in the squad, but Amorim announced his exit, but this time not for technical reasons.

The Portuguese coach said in the press conference for the upcoming summit, “Marcus is sick and did not train with us, I think he will be out of the Liverpool match.”

He continued, “The situation remains the same, Marcus is a player like the rest of the players with us.”

Amorim announced in the same press conference that Manchester United had decided to renew Harry Maguire’s contract for a year, and are in the process of renewing Amad Diallo’s contract for a long period.

United will enter the Reds’ match in fourteenth place with 22 points, while Liverpool lead the standings with 45 points.
