Amorim: I would use a goalkeeping coach rather than rely on Rashford!

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has launched a fresh attack on Marcus Rashford, while stressing that working as a Red Devils manager is “extremely tiring”.

The Portuguese’s comments came after achieving an important 1-0 victory over Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday, in the English Premier League.

Amorim said when asked about the reasons for excluding Rashford, “It’s always the same reason, training, the way I see what a footballer should do… in training, in life, and that’s every day and in every detail… so if things don’t change, I won’t change.”

He added, “If a player gives his maximum and does the right things, he will play. “You can see it on the bench, we lacked some speed to change the rhythm of the game, but I prefer it that way.”

He continued his scathing criticism of Rashford by saying: “I would rather have a goalkeeping coach than a player who doesn’t give his all every day.”

Amorim is turning 40, but he believes he has aged another 10 years after just two months at Manchester United.

The Portuguese concluded his speech by saying: “I feel like I am 50 years old, I have aged 10 years because of United in these two months!”

It is worth noting that Manchester United rose to 12th place with 29 points after beating Fulham.
