Reports have emerged of talks between English Premier League club West Ham United and French midfielder N’Golo Kanté over a potential move to the London club during the current summer transfer window.
Kanté joined Al-Ittihad last year after a stellar career in the Premier League with Leicester City and Chelsea.
Kanté has maintained his place in the France national team due to his excellent physical and technical level.
West Ham manager Lopetegui is keen to bolster his midfield with a new signing, following the failed pursuit of Alex García and the club’s reluctance to buy Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City.
According to the Guardian, West Ham are willing to offer £20 million to Al-Ittihad to persuade them to let go of Kanté.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Al-Ittihad are not willing to sell Kanté under any circumstances.
Kanté is on a salary of over €20 million per year with Al-Ittihad, The club is aiming to return to its former glory, so no chance to let any star like the French leaving.
