An interesting comment from Guardiola about his future with Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has left the door open to extending his stay beyond the summer of 2025, despite widespread speculation to the contrary.

Numerous reports have suggested Guardiola is beginning to feel a sense of fulfillment after his immense achievements with City, leading to expectations that he would depart at the end of his contract next season.

Meanwhile, City’s management is keen to retain Guardiola, while offers continue to pour in for the Spaniard, most recently from the England national team.

According to the Daily Mail, Guardiola stated at a sports product company event in New York that he would not be averse to staying with Manchester for longer.

The former Barcelona manager said, “I love what I’m doing here at Manchester City, so why should I stop? Let’s keep going.”

Guardiola’s current focus is on securing a fifth consecutive Premier League title, a historic feat that would be incredibly difficult to match.

Guardiola has been in charge of City since 2016 and has won 17 trophies with the club, most notably the 2023 Champions League.
