Real Madrid legend Marcelo was the hero of an unfortunate scene during his team Fluminense’s match against Gremio in the Brazilian League on Saturday morning.
In general, Marcelo, 38 years old, has been suffering severely this season, and has barely participated in his team’s matches, which has raised many speculations about his departure when his contract ends next January.
Marcelo did not participate in the Gremio match as a starter, but coach Menezes decided to bring him into the match in the ninetieth and final minute, which shows the poor relationship between them.
While the Brazilian player was standing on the touchline preparing to go down, the unfortunate scene came after he said something that Menezes did not like, who pushed him and ordered him to return to the bench.
Marcelo did not go down in the remaining minute of the match, and the former Al-Nasr coach brought another player into the match.

After the controversial incident, the coach spoke to the media about what happened, saying, “I intended to bring Marcelo on, but he said something I didn’t like, so I decided to send him back to the bench and have Kenedy come on instead.”
It should be noted that Marcelo has only played 36 games in all competitions this season with Menezes, most of them as a substitute, scoring 3 goals and making only 2 assists.
