Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni has recovered from his injury and is ready to participate again in the Merengue matches.
The French star has been absent from Real Madrid for the past month after suffering an ankle sprain during his participation in the Milan match in the Champions League.
The Merengue are preparing for a difficult and important match against Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday at San Mames Stadium in the 16th round of the Spanish League.
According to Ancelotti, Tchouameni has fully recovered from his injury and has participated in Real Madrid’s group training in recent days without any setbacks.
The Italian continued, “Tchouameni is in very good condition, and he is ready to participate in the Bilbao match, whether as a starter or a substitute.”
Real Madrid suffers from a shortage in the center-back position after Eder Militao suffered a cruciate ligament injury, and Tchouameni can play in this position in addition to his main position as a midfielder.
When Ancelotti was asked where Tchouameni would play, he refused to answer, saying only: “You’ll see tomorrow.”
Tchouameni will most likely remain in midfield to replace the injured Eduardo Camavinga, while youngster Raul Asensio will continue to partner Antonio Rudiger at centre-back.
