Spanish media reported that Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has decided on who will replace Lucas Vazquez at right-back in the Manchester City match on Tuesday.
Vazquez suffered a surprise injury after the last match against Atletico Madrid last Saturday, and it was announced that he will be absent for at least two weeks.
According to the newspaper “Marca”, Ancelotti has decided to rely on Fede Valverde at right-back, although he always prefers to rely on him in midfield.
Due to the shortage in the center-back position, Ancelotti has no alternative but Valverde at right-back, as he was thinking of making Raul Asensio play on the right, had it not been for Antonio Rudiger’s recent injury.
Thus, Ancelotti will have to start Luka Modric as a starter in midfield as well, alongside Dani Ceballos and Eduardo Camavinga.
As for the central defenders, the duo will be Asensio and Aurelien Tchouameni, with Ferland Mendy at left-back, and offensively the trio of Rodrygo, Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe will continue.
