Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has denied reports in the Spanish media that Eder Militao could miss Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Stuttgart due to injury.
The Brazilian international did not take part in Real Madrid’s training on Sunday and Saturday after suffering a muscle injury in Saturday’s match against Real Sociedad, raising doubts about his availability for the opening match of the Champions League.
In the press conference for the Stuttgart match, Ancelotti responded to media questions in this regard by saying, “Militão will be available tomorrow 100%.”
He also added, “Bellingham, Tchouameni and Militao are all fine, Militao did not participate in training because he needed an extra day to rest.”
Thus, the Merengues’ absences against the southern German team will be limited to Brahim Diaz and Eduardo Camavinga, and other than that, Ancelotti has the full squad available for the match scheduled to be held at the Santiago Bernabéu.
In turn, Ancelotti attributed the crisis of the many injuries that hit Real Madrid players to the calendar and the compressed match schedule, calling once again on FIFA and UEFA to give the players more rest so that the situation does not worsen in the future.
