Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid coach, believes that Pep Guardiola does not believe that Manchester City have a 1% chance of overcoming the royal club and reaching the last 16 in the Champions League.
Guardiola had made press statements in which he confirmed that City have no chance of qualifying against Real and that they need a miracle to win by two goals and advance to the last 16.
Ancelotti was asked about this in the press conference on Tuesday, to which he replied, “He does not really think about it. I will ask him tomorrow before the match.”
He also added, “He thinks he has more, just as we do not believe that we have 99%.”
He concluded, “We believe that we have a small advantage, and we must exploit it and play in the same style as we played in the first leg, which went well.”
It remains to be noted that Ancelotti confirmed that Lucas Vazquez will not participate in the City match as a starter due to his incomplete recovery, while the duo Antonio Rudiger and Aurelien Tchouameni are ready.
