Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that he is responsible for the team’s decline in performance and its stumbling against Las Palmas in the third round of La Liga.
Real Madrid has only managed to win once this season against Valladolid 3-0, and has only drawn with Las Palmas and Real Mallorca outside the Santiago Bernabéu.
Ancelotti spoke after the Las Palmas match and said, “In this case, the responsibility lies with the coach and not the players.”
He also added, “I have to find a solution to get the team back to playing well and showing its usual solidity. We will search and find a solution quickly.”
He continued, “We should not look for excuses because our schedule is crowded and things are already difficult, perhaps more difficult than we expected. The team is training well and I do not see a problem with character or spirit.”
When Ancelotti was asked about the possibility of signing a player before the end of the summer market to save the situation, he answered clearly, “No, our list is already closed.”
