Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti commented on the fight that broke out between Vinicius Junior and Luka Modric during the Leganes match on Wednesday in the King’s Cup.
The Croatian legend rebuked Vinicius for not doing his defensive duty to the fullest, to which the Brazilian responded with great anger and then left the field at the end of the match without celebrating with the rest of the players.
Ancelotti was asked about what happened, to which he responded briefly, saying, “I did not see what happened, but if Modric says something, then it is true, you always have to agree with him.”
He also added, “Vinicius is still the same, he had many chances, and gave an assist to Brahim Diaz.”
It is noteworthy that Modric came out after the match and confirmed that there was no disagreement with Vinicius over what happened, as he considered the incident “something that always happens in football and is not important.”
The duo have a very good relationship and have always praised each other on every possible occasion, which makes it unlikely that the incident will affect their relationship on or off the pitch.
