UEFA awarded the best player award in the Real Madrid-Borussia Dortmund match in the Champions League final to Dani Carvajal.
The right-back succeeded in scoring the first goal for Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, which paved the way for the Royal Club to win 2-0 and win the fifteenth title.
UEFA explained the reason for Carvajal receiving the award because he presented a dynamic, disciplined and committed performance, in addition to his defensive superiority and then his appearance at the decisive moment by scoring the first goal.
Carvajal’s goal was only the second goal he scored with Real Madrid in the Champions League during his extended career with the Merengue since 2014.
The Spanish international played 89 European matches with Real Madrid, and his first goal in “With Ears” was in 2015 against Shakhtar in the group stage, and now he is scoring perhaps the most expensive goals of his career.
It is noteworthy that this title is the sixth Champions League title that Carvajal has achieved with Real Madrid.
