With the Nico Williams deal still undecided, Barcelona’s management has begun considering other alternatives to strengthen the left-wing position.
According to Sky Sports, the Barcelona management, after consulting with Hansi Flick, has decided that Kingsley Coman would be the alternative plan if the deal to sign Williams fails.
Flick has a close relationship with Coman since they worked together at Bayern Munich, and at that time, the German coach succeeded in bringing out the best in the French player.
Bayern, for its part, welcomes the sale of Coman, and the Bavarian club does not object to their player leaving on loan with an obligation to buy next summer.
These terms seem good for Barcelona, although the final price for Coman will not be less than 60 million euros, which is the same value as Nico Williams as well.
The only obstacle facing Barcelona in signing Coman at the moment is the lack of space to include the player in the team’s squad due to Financial Fair Play rules, and therefore Barcelona must first sell one of their players.
At the same time, Barcelona’s management is waiting to hear the final decision from Williams in the hope that he will agree to join the Catalan club, and then Coman will be overlooked.
